EPCOT Food & Wine Festival 2026: dates + how to do it right

Food & Wine is our annual tradition — we’ve been kicking off fall with this festival for years, and it’s the one trip we never skip. The 2026 festival runs August 27 through November 21, which makes it the longest food event Disney does, and it’s included with regular EPCOT admission.

The festival adds global marketplace booths all around World Showcase, each selling tasting-size plates and pours for a few dollars. That’s the whole game: small plates, lots of stops. Here’s what years of laps around that lagoon have taught us.

Go on a weekday if you possibly can. Locals treat fall Saturdays at Food & Wine as a drinking event, and by late afternoon the World Showcase loop is shoulder to shoulder. A Tuesday at 11 a.m. is a different festival entirely — short booth lines, open tables, cast members with time to chat.

Split everything. One of each item between two people doubles the number of booths you can hit. The portions are designed for it.

Set a booth budget, not a meal budget. Plates run roughly $5 to $9. Decide “ten stops today,” put it on a gift card if you like hard limits, and graze your way around the world. Two people sharing ten plates eat better than any sit-down meal at the same price.

Hydrate between pours. Fall in Florida is still summer. We carry a water bottle and alternate: booth, water, booth. It’s the difference between a great afternoon and a 3 p.m. headache. Free ice water from any quick-service counter works too.

Go hands-free. You will spend the whole day holding a plate in one hand and a drink in the other. A belt bag keeps your phone, cards, and the festival passport where you can reach them without a juggling act.

Pack the poncho anyway. It’s hurricane season. The storm shows up at 3 p.m., dumps for twenty minutes, and leaves. The booths stay open; the people who packed ponchos keep eating.

One more thing worth knowing: if you see a Party for the Senses date that fits your trip, it’s the festival’s splurge event — a grand tasting with chef stations and entertainment. We’ve done it. It’s not cheap, and it’s worth doing once.
